We started The Landing Pad (TLP) because consulting lost its spark. Too many PowerPoints, too many spreadsheets, too many recycled phrases like “you can’t boil the ocean.”
We think consulting should feel more like a campfire conversation, a shower thought you jot down, or an idea sparked over drinks with friends. Real breakthroughs come from creativity, possibility, and human connection, not over-analysis.
Leaders and managers are under immense pressure. We hear it a lot: “What else do you want me to do? I’m doing the best I can.” Our answer isn’t another framework. It’s building real capacity and confidence in the real humans doing the work.

We built a team that blends credentials with real-world grit, and we embrace AI and technology instead of fearing it. Yes, we’re certified in CliftonStrengths and the Leadership Circle Profile, but that’s just the foundation. What sets us apart is the mix: facilitators who’ve led inside complex organizations, strategists who strip away the jargon, and creatives who thrive on possibility.
We’ve sat in the boardroom, chatted after workout classes, and stood at the messy whiteboard session that actually moved the needle. That range lets us skip the same-old consulting playbook and meet leaders who are ready to do things differently now.
Meet Bowie. She’s the OG dog at TLP and our unofficial head of group dynamics. She reads a room faster than any assessment we run, and she’ll bark to let you know when you’re off the mark.

Meet Garrett, founder of The Landing Pad. His goal was to combine just enough IRL with Getting Sh*t Done, using technology and critical thinking to do it.
Garrett has thousands of hours of facilitation experience and brings a possibility-oriented, deep-listening, engineering mindset to every room. He trained and worked under PhD-level training experts to build TLP’s trainings and earned several certifications in TLP’s topics. He is certified in CliftonStrengths and the Leadership Circle Profile, and holds the Google AI Professional Certificate and the Anthropic AI Professional Certification.
“Technology should work for us.” That’s why he isn’t afraid of AI. He wants everyone to feel comfortable and confident using it well.

Where We’ve Been Showing Up
W.A.T.E.R. 1.0
Garrett took part in the W.A.T.E.R. 1.0 supplier development cohort alongside supplier diversity teams from California and national water utilities. It sharpened how TLP thinks about regulation, emergency response, and aging infrastructure, and where AI fits in that work.
RISE Program, Cohort 14
TLP is part of the RISE Program, run by Elevate Lyfe with SCMSDC, which covers strategy, capital, systems, and people for growing suppliers.
